On 28-10-2025, Justice Tara Vitasta Ganju was sworn in as Judge of Karnataka High Court. She was administered the oath of office by Justice Vibhu Bakhru, Chief Justice of Karnataka High Court.
Justice Tara Vitasta’s transfer was approved by the Ministry of Law and Justice on 14-10-2025. Her transfer was recommended by the Collegium on 27-8-2025. Upon this recommendation several practising High Court advocates wrote a letter to the Chief Justice of India expressing their protest at the Supreme Court Collegium’s recommendation/proposal to transfer. The letter further requested the CJI to reconsider this recommendation for transfer.
