On 14-7-2025, the President of India, in exercise of powers under Article 217(1) of the Constitution, appointed Chief Justices for the following High Courts:
- Justice Sanjeev Sachdeva, Judge of the Madhya Pradesh High Court, to be Chief Justice of the Madhya Pradesh High Court
- Justice Ashutosh Kumar, Judge of the Patna High Court, to be Chief Justice of the Gauhati High Court
- Justice Vipul Manubhai Pancholi, Judge, Patna High Court, to be Chief Justice of the Patna High Court
- Justice Tarlok Singh Chauhan, Judge of the Himachal Pradesh High Court, to be Chief Justice of the Jharkhand High Court

Justice Vibhu Bakhru, Judge of the Delhi High Court, to be the Chief Justice of the Karnataka High Court.
On 26-5-2025, the Supreme Court Collegium headed by CJI B.R. Gavai recommended the elevation of afore-stated Judges as Chief Justices.
